Purple Star School

This year, we are introducing a peer-to-peer program. When a military connected student enrolls, they will be paired with one of our peer mentors to assist them as they join Desert Foothills Junior High School.

Each year we host events to honor our current and former military members and families.

Veterans' Day 2025:
Seventh and eighth grade students wrote letters to Veteran's which were delivered to Carl T. Hayden Veteran's Medical Center. All students with any active military members or Veteran family or friends were encouraged to create a small banner for them which spanned the gates outside of Desert Foothills. It was a great way to honor those close to us! 

Month of the Military Children:
April is the month of the military child. We will encourage all staff and students to wear purple on Fridays throughout the month to celebrate and recognize these students.
